Caster Plate and Bolt Pattern Checker
Match a measured bolt-hole spacing to the common US caster mounting plate patterns and report the hole-to-hole diagonal so a replacement plate fits the existing footprint.
Replacing a plate caster starts with the bolt pattern, and the spacing printed in a catalogue is not always the spacing on the equipment. Enter the measured hole spacing in both directions and the calculator matches it to the common US patterns and returns the diagonal, so you can check the footprint as well as the pitch.
A measurement more than a sixteenth of an inch from every pattern returns a no-match note rather than a forced guess, and the checker deliberately does not verify hole diameter or plate thickness, both of which still have to be measured.

Formula
Calculation logicWhat to check
- Measure hole centre to hole centre, not edge to edge.
- Measure both directions; a square-looking plate is often not square.
- Check the diagonal against the equipment's existing footprint before ordering.
